Keytouch develops and manufactures overlays tailored to customer requirements.

Overlays which are also known as labels or mimic panels, are commonly used to cover instrument panels, to display text, and also to act as shielding on electro-mechanical switches.

We offer silk-screen printing to manufacture overlays. In order to prevent abrasions of the print, color is applied to the back of the film. Most color coding can be used in silk-screen printing.

Graphic display panels can adhere to EMC standards by printing on conductive silver and connecting to the chassis.

Display windows and optical filters can be integrated into overlays.

To emphasize an electric switch or logo, the film can be embossed. By embossing the film, flat panels becomes more attractive, and user-friendly.

Overlays can withstand rough treatment and can be exposed to harsh climates, as well as severe environmental and chemical influences.

Overlays are waterproof, dustproof and chemical-resistant, all of which contribute to their durability and reliability. In addition to this, the front screen secures easily and offers risk free maintenance.

Choice of material

Different types of material can be used in the overlay. The type of film one chooses depends on the final purpose of the overlay. The same is true when choosing which tape to use for attaching the film to a surface. When attaching the front panel, it is critical to know the underlying surface.

  • UV-Coating
  • Scratch resistance / Hard coating
  • Surface texture
  • Water and dust resistance

Tapes

  • Thickness 0.05-0.35 mm
  • Tape quality in relation to surface
